About: The project stands to be a CSR initiative by Signify ltd.. implemented by FISS to equip 100 schools in Udalguri District with inverter-powered lights and fans. Designed to counteract power instability, this initiative will provide continuous lighting and cooling solutions, fostering an optimized educational environment for over 10,000 students and educators. Through its sustainable, scalable approach, this project aligns with Signify’s commitment to qualify education, clean energy and community empowerment.
Objectives:

Outcome: Installing inverter bulbs and cooling fans in a village improved comfort, supported education and work during power cuts, enhances health and safety, and boosted overall community well-being.
About: Tripura in the month of August 2024 faced relentless amount of rainfall resulting in severed flooding with West Tripura being one of the worst-hit areas. The floods have caused extensive damage to infrastructure, resulting in power outages that have left many households without electricity. Given the situation, the provision of emergency lighting solutions is critical to ensure safety, improve living conditions in relief camps, and support ongoing rescue operations.
Emergency bulbs, particularly 9W rechargeable LED bulbs, can offer a sustainable solution by providing backup lighting during power cuts. These bulbs are easy to distribute, energy-efficient, and rechargeable, making them ideal for flood-affected areas.

Outcome: With power outages leaving many families in darkness, the distribution of LED bulbs restored a sense of normalcy, safety, and comfort. These energy-efficient lights helped in illuminating homes, shelters, and community spaces, enabling safer living conditions and smoother relief operations during these challenging times. The initiative benefited families, providing them with reliable lighting solutions that are both sustainable and long-lasting. By using low-energy, durable LED technology, the program supported immediate relief efforts while also contributing to longer-term resilience against future emergencies.
About: The CSR was executed by Eveready Industries India Ltd for FISS acting as an implementation partner has submitted a project proposal titled “Nutritional Support to TB Patients under PRADHAN MANTRI TB MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN in Goalpara District of Assam” which was subsequently accepted for implementation of the said project for nine (9) months w.e.f from the month of July 2024 till March 2025.
By ensuring that TB patients in Goalpara have access to adequate nutrition, this initiative not only supports individual health but also strengthens community-level disease control efforts, contributing to the overall public health goals of Assam and India.

Outcome: The PRADHAN MANTRI TB MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN Provided nutritional support to TB patients helped speed up recovery, ensured better treatment adherence, redued the risk of relapse, supported daily functioning, and easesd the financial burden on low-income families ultimately improving both individual health and public safety.
Objective: To ensure inclusive growth for all and raise the living standards of its citizens, the Government of India has launched a ‘Transformation of Aspirational Districts’ programme to ensrue an inclusive and all-round development across 112 districts. For this, National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) has identifiied Aspirational Districts: Health is an important indicator for Aspirational Districts. Many Districts in NER has been declared as Aspirational districts. Following this a one day State level consultation Workshop on available schemes for malnourished and stunted children in North-Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya & Arunachal Pradesh have been organised by FISS.
Outcome: The workshops on Available Schemes for Malnourished & Stunted Children in the North-Eastern States significantly enhanced awareness and understanding of key government initiatives among frontline workers, community leaders, and local stakeholders. It focused on improving the implementation of schemes such as POSHAN Abhiyaan, ICDS, and Mid-Day Meal Programme, ensuring that vital nutrition services reach the most vulnerable children. Through capacity building and knowledge sharing, the workshop empowered health workers to identify and manage cases of malnutrition effectively. It also promoted community participation, encouraged the use of local food resources, and fostered convergence among various government departments. Importantly, the platform highlighted regional challenges, provided valuable policy feedback, and initiated behavioural change around child feeding and maternal care.
Objective: Child labour practice is a hindrance to the mental as well as physical development of children as it deprives them of the most important phase of their life—their childhood. Children of or below the age of 14 years are strictly prohibited from being employed in hazardous occupations, as per Child Labour (Prohibited and Regulation) Act of 1986.
Lack of awareness and knowledge among communities, authorities, and stakeholders regarding the legal framework, rights of children and available support services. Addressing these challenges requires concerted efforts from government agencies, civil society organizations, communities and other stakeholders to improve coordination, allocate sufficient resources, raise awareness and enhance the effectiveness of interventions aimed at eliminating child labor and ensuring the protection and welfare of child.
The “One Day State Level sensitization workshop on provision of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986 with its amended act 2016 and amended rules 2017 Sikkim” was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with Sikkim State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SSCPCR) facilitated by Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS) in the Mini half auditorium, Mannan Kendra, Gangtok, Sikkim.
Outcome: The workshop on the Provision of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, along with its Amendments of 2016 and Rules of 2017, effectively enhanced the understanding of the legal framework among key stakeholders, including government officials, enforcement agencies, educators, employers, and community leaders. It clarified critical updates such as the complete prohibition of child labour under 14 years and the regulation of adolescent labour in hazardous occupations.
About: To ensure & spreading awareness about the same, a “One day State level consultation on counselling essentials and mental health needs of children in Child Care Institutes (CCIs) of NER-Tripura” was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with Tripura State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR) facilitated by Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS) in the Hall no. 1, Pragya Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura.
Outcome: The One Day State Level Workshop on Counselling Essentials and Mental Health Needs of Children in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) of NER - Tripura successfully strengthened the capacity of childcare providers, counsellors, and administrators to address the emotional and psychological well-being of children in institutional care. The workshop focused on trauma-informed counselling approaches, early identification of mental health concerns, and creating child-friendly environments within CCIs. It promoted inter-agency collaboration and equipped participants with practical tools to support children’s resilience and recovery. Overall, the workshop paved the way for more sensitive, responsive, and holistic care practices in Tripura’s child care institutions.
About: To ensure proper awareness and initiative of a “One Day State level Consultation cum Awareness Workshop on Prevalence of HIV/AIDS amongst Children and Preventive Strategies in Tripura” was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with Tripura State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR) facilitated by Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS) in the Hall no. 1, Pragya Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura.
Outcome: The One Day State Level Consultation cum Awareness Workshop on the Prevalence of HIV/AIDS amongst Children and Preventive Strategies in Tripura had a meaningful impact in enhancing awareness and understanding among key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, child welfare officials, educators, and community leaders. The workshop highlighted the current scenario of HIV/AIDS among children in Tripura, emphasising the importance of early detection, prevention strategies, and destigmatisation.
About: The Mizsion Thoughtful Initiative by District Commissioner of Tinsukia, alongwith the implementation made by FISS and supported by WeHear Innovation Private Limited distribute Non Surgical Hearing aid devices to 50 Hearing Impaired (HI) individuals in Kakopathar Block, Tinsukia, providing support and resources to marginaliz communities
Outcome: Distribution of Non Surgical Hearing aid devices to 50 Hearing Impaired (HI) individuals in Kakopathar Block, Tinsukia, District, Assam. The event witnessed a strong community turnout, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in Tinsukia. The distribution of hearing aids to 50 individuals has empowered them to hear and interact more fully, without the need for surgery. The training sessions have also equipped them with the skills to use their new devices effectively, ensuring they can integrate these tools into their daily lives. With the implementation by Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS) and the technology provided by WeHear Innovation Private Limited, the program successfully combined social commitment with technological innovation to deliver meaningful results.
About: To reduces the Low Birth Weight and improve the overall health of the well being of the mother's and the newborns in the Udalguri District, the District Commissioner launched "Mission Healthy Baby" a Mission to reduces incidence of Low Birth Weight Babies focusing on improving maternal and child health outcomes, particularly rural & hard to reach areas.
Following which an app based survey was led by FISS along with District Administration to find out the causes of high increase in Low Birth Weight Babies in the District.

Outcome: The survey for the mother's of the Low Birth Weights in the first phase has been done and a schedule has been prepared.
