Empowerment of Women Artisans of Hatiutha Eri Silk Cluster for Livelihood Development

Livelihood

Objective:

  • Empower women artisan with advance machinery, tools and equipment of hand loom.
  • Empower women artisan with the knowledge and skill of operation of advance machinery, tools and equipment and also on design and diversification.
  • Stabilize hand loom production of 20 weavers in a production centre through hand holding and facilitation.

Target beneficiary: about 220 artisans are actively engaged in various Eri silk production activities.

Target Area: Hatiutha, Bornalani and Belimara which belong to Mayong development block of Morigaon district, Assam.

Arecanut Leaf Plate manufacturing for Employment Generation in Jagun, Tinsukia district of Assam

Objective:

  • Conversion of a waste material into a value added product
  • Capacity building of local youth especially women.
  • Generating sustainable employment and livelihood in rural areas
  • Manufacturing of a green product which has an immense impact in reducing CO2 emissions and has huge export potential.
  • Overall strengthening of backward rural areas of Tinsukia District.
  • Project to be implemented in hub and spoke units.

Target beneficiary: The targeted beneficiaries of this project are 502 no. of artisans (31 male, 471 women, 30 ST and 472 General)

Target Area: The location of the project is Jagun, Tinsukia

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON HANDICRAFTS, HANDLOOM & EMBROIDERY CLUSTER, Imphal West, Manipur

Objective: The prime objective is to increase the incomes of artisans through productdiversification and design & technology infusion for sustainability of the cluster.

Target beneficiary: The targeted beneficiaries of this project are 502 no. of artisans (31 male, 471 women, 30 ST and 472 General)

Target Area: The cluster is proposed to be set up in Imphal West, Manipur
